Things you Must see when Visiting Chicago

Initially, travel might be daunting. Typically, there is an excessive amount to accomplish, and it is hard to fit everything into the schedule.

During my trip to Chicago, a metropolis in the Midwest region, I wrote an itinerary of everything I had planned to do. Let’s say I was a little motivated and eager because it was enough for a two-month stay (at small).

I had a buddy living in the city who made sure I had a great time there.

To help you plan your trip, my friend and I developed a list of the coolest things to do in Chicago for first-timers (and everyone else)!

Things you must see when visiting Chicago

1. Enjoy a 360 degrees’ view of Chicago

I don’t know about you, however, one of the initial items. I look for when visiting a new city as a high point from which to enjoy a spectacular perspective.

This may be climbing a historic cathedral in Amsterdam or hiking up a fortification in Kotor, Montenegro.

In this particular instance, it requires the stairs to the 94th floor of the John Hancock Building. It is one of Chicago’s tallest.

360 Chicago is a platform for watching, offering an incredible 360-degree panorama of the metropolitan area. It even features a bar where you may enjoy an alcoholic beverage while appreciating the view.

2. Magnificent Mile

Walking around Chicago’s most famous shopping district is another exciting activity.

The Magnificent Mile is a part of Michigan Avenue lined with costly stores. Design stores, incredible eateries, and upscale lodgings.

Famous sites along the Boulevard include the Chicago Water Tower. The Wrigley Skyscraper and, obviously, the John Hancock Centre.

It’s likewise a great place to shop at among the three major shopping malls. Or for exciting activities like an escape room experience at The Escape Game, which is close.

Different painted dog statues can be found around the Magnificent Mile and elsewhere in downtown Chicago.

All of these artworks were created to honor law enforcement personnel who were murdered or injured. Maintain your gaze open to avoid missing any of these lovely German Shepherd Dogs!

3. LondonHouse Rooftop Bar

How does drinking a martini on a rooftop bar whilst witnessing boats drift down the Chicago River sound to you?

If this sounds like your type of thing. Make sure you don’t miss out on going to one of the town’s most prominent hotels’ rooftop bars.

The LondonHouse Chicago is a four-star lodging housed in a 1920s building that sees the prestigious Riverwalk. While sipping a delicious cocktail. You may enjoy breathtaking views of the Chicago River. Magnificent Mile, and even Lake Michigan from its tri-level rooftop bar.

If you have plans to see LondonHouse Rooftop Bar then, book cheap flight to Chicago and enjoy your day.

4. Millennium Park

A walk through Millennium Park is a must-do while touring Chicago for the initial time.

This public park is among the most renowned free activities.  Owing to the iconic installation known as Cloud Gate, sometimes known as “the Bean”.

Aside from the shaped sculpture. Millennium Park is an incredible spot to get away from the rush and uproar of regular day-to-day existence.

Because of places like the planned Lurie Garden, it is now a magnificent green oasis in the middle of downtown Chicago.

Furthermore, the Boeing Galleries feature unique outdoor art. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion hosts a free music event.

5. Chicago Riverwalk

Millennium Park isn’t the only great place for a walk.

The historical Chicago Riverwalk permits you to wander along the beautiful river that runs through the center of town.

At first glance, the Riverwalk appears to be your average pedestrian shoreline, but it is considerably more than that. You can enjoy drinks at various nice outdoor pubs or eat lunch at one of the many eateries on the riverfront.

Furthermore, you can visit a museum dedicated to the Chicago River. Or find some fantastic outdoor art galleries along the walk.

If you’re seeking more adventurous adventures. Consider taking a Chicago River kayak tour or another fun boat tour.

6. The Hip West Loop Neighborhood

The next destination you should see is not what you would expect to find in the city.

West Loop, when a modern zone, is today a chic area noted for its magnificent eating and diversion choices. Consequently, it is one of Chicago’s best areas to live in!

A lot of the structures in the West Circle were initially warehouses. But today contains some of Chicago’s best eateries. Fulton Market, in particular, is gaining popularity among locals thanks to its chill urban atmosphere.

There are numerous restaurants and cafés to select from, but Sawada Coffee is one of my faves.

7. Noyane Rooftop Bar

To be honest, it’s difficult to beat the LondonHouse rooftop bar. Particularly the view from up there. But, Noyane on the rooftop of the Conrad Chicago is also a must-see.

It may not be able to compete with the LondonHouse rooftop views. But the atmosphere is at least as nice, if not superior.

You’ll find modern furniture, a pleasant fire pit, and a spacious bar area where you can order any type of drink.

If you are hungry, don’t be afraid to taste some of the high-quality meals at the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant.

8. Navy Pier

For the next point on the list, exit the city center and proceed towards Lake Michigan. Navy Pier is a 1-kilometer-long pier on the lake’s edge.

You could spend an entire day at this pier because there are so many exciting outdoor attractions.

A sensory maze experience, a botanical garden, a musical carousel, and the Chicago Children’s Museum are a few examples.

The Chicago Ferris Wheel is located in the center of the pier and can be difficult to notice. This 60-meter-high structure provides some of the best skyline views while rotating at a pace.
