The Old Mill

Although The Old Mill is formally named as Pugh’s Mill and is situated in the T. R. Pugh Memorial Park, it has grown to be referred to as The Old Mill with fondness throughout time. This is unquestionably among Arkansas’s most romantic escapes.


Constructed in 1933, the structure was intentionally meant to resemble one from the 1800s. The three-acre site is embellished with sculptures of tree stumps, toadstools, and a bridge made of interwoven tree branches that links the mill to the park’s other attractions. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was designed by Mexico City’s Senor Dionico Rodriguez.


Wildwood Park

The Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area is situated in Pulaski County, west of Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and has more than five miles of trails (more are being added soon!). Hiking is also highly recommended, since the paths provide several stunning vistas.
There’s more to Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area than meets the eye. Its goal is to protect endangered plant and animal species’ natural habitats.Lake Maumelle, a major source of drinking water in central Arkansas, is also protected by conservation efforts.

Old State House Museum

Arkansas’s first state capitol building is the Old State House Museum. Some of the most significant historical events in Arkansas’s history have taken place in this edifice since it was first constructed in 1833. It witnessed the confederation’s entry into the Union, the death of a knife battle between two sitting lawmakers, the discovery of hookworm and malaria, and more. This structure has seen a great deal.After being designated as a museum in 1947, the Old State House has been open to the public ever since. The structure was recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 1997 after being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. 

The River Market District 

The center of downtown Little Rock is the River Market District. It’s a fantastic spot to hang out with friends, have delicious food, and even take in live music.
